An iconic British marque now owed by the Indian company Tata Motors, it was for a time also owned by the Ford Motor Company. The company originally made motor cycle sidecars and went into making motor cars in 1935. Since then they have produced the world’s fastest production car, the XJ220 which held that accolade from 1992 – 1994 with a top speed of 213.478 mph and it has won the 24 hours of Le Mans seven times. Today the company have a pretty respectable line up of prestige executive saloons and estates and sports cars. The XJR-5 and XJ 220 are perhaps the two most notable names to have come out of the Jaguar sports car stable.
